You are more than a diagnosis. You do not need to fit one of these categories to contact us. Driving suitability, any assessment requirements and the right vehicle setup depend on your individual circumstances. Where needed, we coordinate training around medical advice and OT Driver Assessor recommendations.

Questions?
You’re welcome
to ask.

Do I need a referral to contact BLA?

You, a family member or a support person can send an enquiry directly. OTs, support coordinators and rehabilitation professionals can also use our referral page. We will explain any information needed for your pathway.

Will I need an OT driving assessment?

That depends on your circumstances and any relevant medical or licensing requirements. Tell us about any existing recommendations. BLA provides practical driver training and works with OT Driver Assessors where assessment input is needed.

Can you help with adaptive controls?

We can discuss training with recommended hand controls, steering aids and other adaptations. Equipment availability and vehicle suitability need to be confirmed before booking. Visit Adaptive Technology or contact our team.

How do I find out about funding and costs?

Send an enquiry about the service you need and your funding pathway. We will discuss costs and any information or approvals needed before booking. A diagnosis alone does not confirm funding for a service.

What if I am unsure whether driving is the next step?

You can still start a conversation. We can discuss road-knowledge preparation, your goals and relevant referral options, so you can explore an appropriate next step without pressure.

Do you cover my area?

Visit our locations page or contact us with your suburb. We consider each enquiry based on location, the service required, vehicle suitability and availability.

How can a professional refer a participant?

Visit our OT & Professional Referrals page for information, or go directly to the online referral form. For complex needs or specialised equipment requirements, contact our team first to discuss the appropriate pathway.
